See this checklist to find out which settings must be set up to minimize errors during the first sync from Jira.
- Customer No. must be added to Customer-Project Links
After the creation of Customer-Project Links for projects you can mark some projects as Ignored for import for the first testing purposes.
- In Jira Connect Setup > Project section, select Project Journal Template and Project Journal Batch
- Add Base Calendar Code to the Resource Card > General section
In Jira Connect Setup > Worklogs, enable Project Journal Description > Project Task Description to have a clear vision of which Jira task is invoiced
As a result, the invoiced task will have a description with Jira summary:
Before using Sync All
- You may start with synchronizing one TEST project and find out if the setup is suitable for your needs and the business rules of the invoicing process (Jira Connect Setup > Projects).
Also, you may want to enable the Ignore New Projects option (all new Jira Projects will be added in Customer-Project Links with "Ignore Project" turned on).
- We strongly recommend that you turn on the Change Log before syncing: How to Activate Standard BC Change Log for JC? Note, that to be able to work with JC logs, enable the following options (Jira Connect Setup > Log): To find the JC logs, go to Jira Connect Setup > Actions > Setup > HTTP Request Log
How to work with JC logs:
Choose the desired log for work > Click Show Response Content > Use the current log for analysis.
