What must be set up for successful calculation of the Monthly Pay billable lines? (when BC Contract Type in Jira = Monthly Pay)

For successful calculation of Monthly Pay billable lines, make sure the following settings are provided:

In Jira

• BC Contract Type = Monthly Pay

In Tempo

• Log time using Jira. (For Monthly Pay worklogs are not required)   

In Business Central

• Enable New Sales Prices: go to Tell me > Feature Management
  
  

 
Enable Feature Updates: New Sales Prices for All Users 

Click Yes

 Click Next and use all toggles for the next steps

 

 

 

Click Update. Also, reload the BC page after the feature data update.

 

Note:  Project Resource Price functionality was released in April 2023 by Microsoft in the 22nd BC release.   Upon activating the new feature New Sales Prices (see above), the existing records of Project Resource Price are transferred to the new table Price List Line of Sales Project Price List (table Price List Header).  Also note, that after enabling this feature for all users, it cannot be turned off again.

• Go to Tell me > Units of Measure
  
  

Add a Unit of Measure

 
Click Yes

In Jira Connect Setup

• Monthly Pay Work Type Code (Resource section)
  
  

Note:

Work Type Code is created on the Work Types page. It is used to create a Project Planning Line.

• In Projects > Resources:
  
  

 
Select the required Resource No.

 
In the Resource Card, click Units of Measure

Add the Resource Unit of Measure:

• Go to Tell me > Sales Project Price Lists
  
  

Select the required Sales Price List or create a new one

 Fill in the mandatory fields

Note: Do not change the Work Type Code. It is set up automatically from the Jira Connect Setup. 

Click Verify Lines

 
Click Ok
