What is Fixed Price Contract Type?

Created by GM Support, Modified on Mon, 22 Jul at 8:00 AM by GM Support

The Fixed Price Contract Type is the type of contract that outlines a single set price for a project, no matter the time, labor, or resources it takes to complete the project.  It is used to bill a customer for an originally estimated number of hours, defined in Jira on a Task level (Original estimate field in Jira issue).

The final amount is made up having fixed amount of work to be done and the price of an hour for a particular Resource. No matter whether worklogs were created and how much time was logged.

For more information about how to add the Contract Type Field to Jira and BC, see Set up the Connection - General Setup.
