How are billable lines calculated for the Fixed Price Contract Type?

Created by GM Support, Modified on Thu, 16 Jan at 12:00 PM by GM Support

The general flow is as follows:

1. Go to the Projects tile and click Suggest Billable Lines

2. Click Calculate. The system will look for billable lines depending on the settings provided.

Notes:

  • If the Due Date is not indicated in the Jira issue, then the billable lines are calculated based on the Project Invoice Data (from the Project Card).
  • If the Due Date field in the Jira issue is empty, you can set it up in BC using the Update Budget Prices action from Functions in the JIRA Project Task Lines:

    >

  • If the Due Date field is empty in the Jira issue and you configure it in BC, it will not change following the next sync, unless it is changed (configured) on the Jira side.
  • If the Due Date field is configured in the Jira issue, the End Date is not editable in BC. It can only be changed on the Jira side and then resynced to BC.

Important:

  • When suggesting billable lines per Project Task No., the Start Date/End Date/Due Date of the Task are disregarded.
  • The Planning Date in the suggested billable line equals Project Invoice Date:

>

  • When suggesting billable lines per Project No., Customer, Person Responsible, or Project Manager, the following conditions must be fulfilled:
    • Contract Type (Fixed Price) must be indicated on the task/epic level or on the project level (if the contract type of the task is None):
    • the Due Date of the Task must fall within the Start Date - End Date period (on the page opened upon clicking Suggest Billable Lines, see the image below) and be less or equal to the current date (when you suggest billable lines). If the Due Date is empty, the Project Invoice Date is used by default as the Due Date.
