Set up the App

To create your first package and configuration, you must set up the App.

Note: the registration of your environment is done automatically

Go to the Assisted Setup (Tell Me > Meta UI Administration > Assisted Setup):

Follow the instructions and proceed with the Assisted Setup:

To register your Company in the Admin Portal, click Activate.

For each Company, a separate subscription is created and managed.

Sandbox trial subscription has maximum unlimited functionality.

After activation is completed, click Next.

Then follows the step of package creation. The package is a representation of the extension to be generated.

Indicate the Package Name and click Next.

Select the pages you want to extend and click Next.

As a next step, indicate the ID range for Meta UI extensions:

The Assisted Setup generates the default configurations for the selected pages, which can be further set up on the Meta UI Admin Portal.

Configuration is a schema for a page view. For packages created manually, you have to run "Setup Configurations" from the related page in Meta UI Administration when you need to manage configurations for that page.

Click Next.

Proceed with further instructions and click Generate Extension. The system will automatically generate and install the extension related to the package created. The extension will contain the pages you specified (see above).

Pass the Microsoft authentication. 

Paste the copied code and sign in.

The extension generation may take some time.

The installation status of your extension can be viewed on the Extension Installation Status page.

All installed extensions are available from Meta UI Administration > Administration > Packages menu > Extension Management (or simply Tell me > Extension Management):

In the above image, Meta UI represents the application downloaded from Appsource (together with GM Core, which is mandatory for Subscriptions management), and TESTPACKAGE is the extension automatically generated by Meta UI.
